COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Certificate III in Concreting (CPC30320) is a nationally recognised trade qualification in the Australian construction industry. It imparts candidates with the trade knowledge and technical skills required to perform concreting operations on residential and commercial projects. This includes tasks such as planning and preparing work sites, placing, finishing, and curing concrete, as well as operating concreting plants and equipment, all while complying with Australian industry standards and safety regulations.

The course is tailored to meet the requirements of apprentices, trade assistants, or labourers employed in the building and construction industry who aspire to achieve trade qualification in their chosen field.

To achieve this qualification, you must demonstrate competency in 22 units of competency comprised of 17 core units and 5 electives.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Must be 18 years or older
Demonstrate the required level of Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills
Completion of the general construction induction training program specified by the model Code of
Practice for Construction Work. Achievement of unit CPCCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the
construction industry meets this requirement
No formal pre-requisite required, however, it is beneficial for students to have relevant industry experience

OVERVIEW

This is a qualification for concreters working in concreting operations on residential and commercial projects.

DELIVERY METHOD

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Assessment is accessible to candidates with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant industry experience. Conducted by a qualified industry expert Trainer and Assessor, the RPL Assessment process results in a personalised Training Plan outlining the units of competency for training and assessment.

Duration: Maximum 24 months
