This qualification encompasses a broad spectrum of building and construction works, specifically focusing on commercial applications.

The course is designed to meet the needs of open builders, selecting contractors, overseeing the work, assessing its quality, and liaising with clients. In addition, it meets the needs of senior managers in building, construction, and service firms, typically working in larger organisations and managing more complicated projects and processes.

The course is designed to provide advisory, administrative, and management services for constructing a range of building projects, including high-rise and complex structures.

Must be 18 years or older
Demonstrate the required level of Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills
Completion of the general construction induction training program specified by the model Code of Practice for Construction Work. Achievement of unit CPCCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry meets this requirement
No formal pre-requisite required, however, it is beneficial for students to have relevant industry experience


This qualification is designed to meet the needs of builders or senior managers within the building and construction industry who apply knowledge of building, construction and sustainability systems and processes, structural principles, codes, standards, and legal obligations to construction projects including high-rise


Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Assessment is accessible to candidates with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant industry experience. Conducted by a qualified industry expert Trainer and Assessor, the RPL Assessment process results in a personalised Training Plan outlining the units of competency for training and assessment.

Training is available through VC Education’s online Learning Management System (LMS), classroom-based sessions, or face-to-face sessions conducted at your workplace. The method of training delivery is tailored to meet the specific needs of each candidate.
