COURSE DESCRIPTION

Certificate IV in Plumbing and Services CPC40920 is a nationally recognised qualification designed to meet the needs of experienced plumbing and drainage professionals in the services industry.

The course is designed to meet the needs of Plumbers working in the building and construction industry who want to begin their own business.

COURSE STRUCTURE

VC Education delivers industry-focused training and assessment that provides you with the skills, knowledge, and experience to achieve Certificate IV in Plumbing and Services.

VC Education’s Certificate IV in Plumbing and Services has been developed by industry professionals and is focused on current and emerging industry trends, whilst providing you with ‘real world’ and practical application.

To achieve this qualification, you must demonstrate competency in 15 units of competency comprised of 10 core units and 5 electives

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Must be 18 years or older
Will be required to demonstrate the required level or languages, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills
No formal pre-requisite required, but is beneficial for the student to have relevant industry experience

OVERVIEW

This qualification reflects the role of an experienced plumbing service operator with advanced technical skills and/or responsibility for project design and supervision; or a hydraulic consultant responsible for designing hydraulic components and systems that meet client requirements and help in effective water management in domestic, commercial and industry contexts.

DELIVERY METHOD

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Assessment is made available to candidates who can demonstrate a minimum of two (2) years of relevant industry experience. The RPL Assessment process is conducted by a qualified industry expert Trainer and Assessor. Once the RPL Assessment is complete, candidates will be issued with a Training Plan detailing the units of competency to be trained and assessed.

Training is offered through VC Education’s online Learning Management System (LMS), classroom-based or face-to-face at your workplace. The delivery of training will vary depending on the candidate’s requirements.

Duration: Maximum 24 months
