Certificate IV in Civil Construction (Supervision or Operations) RII40720 is a nationally recognised qualification that reflects the role of employees working in supervisory positions in Civil Construction in which they perform tasks involving a broad range of varied activities, most of which are complex and non-routine. They are responsible for the safety, efficiency, and quality of work of others, contribute to the development of technical solutions to non-routine problems, and apply management plans to the workplace

The course is designed to cover the skills and knowledge to effectively work in supervisory positions in Civil Construction.

COURSE STRUCTURE

VC Education’s Certificate IV in Civil Construction (Supervision or Operations) has been developed by industry professionals and is focused on current and emerging industry trends, whilst providing you with ‘real world’ and practical application.

To achieve this qualification, you must demonstrate competency in 12 units of competency comprised of 5 core units and 7 electives

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Must be 18 years or older
Will be required to demonstrate the required level or languages, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills
No formal pre-requisite required, but is beneficial for the student to have relevant industry experience

OVERVIEW

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in supervisory and technical specialist positions in civil construction. They perform tasks involving a broad range of varied work activities most of which are specialised and within known or changing contexts. They are responsible for the quantity and quality of their own work, as well as for the output of others. They contribute to the development of technical solutions to non-routine problems.

DELIVERY METHOD

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Assessment is made available to candidates who can demonstrate a minimum of two (2) years of relevant industry experience. The RPL Assessment process is conducted by a qualified industry expert Trainer and Assessor. Once the RPL Assessment is complete, candidates will be issued with a Training Plan detailing the units of competency to be trained and assessed.

Training is offered through VC Education’s online Learning Management System (LMS), classroom-based or face-to-face at your workplace. The delivery of training will vary depending on the candidate’s requirements.

Duration: Maximum 24 months
