COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling (CPC31320) is a nationally recognised trade qualification in the Australian construction industry. It provides candidates with the trade knowledge and technical skills to carry out wall and floor tiling for residential and commercial projects. This includes the preparation of surfaces, selection and application of tiles, grouting, and sealing, all performed to meet Australian standards and industry best practices.

The course is tailored to meet the requirements of apprentices, trade assistants, or labourers employed in the building and construction industry who aspire to achieve trade qualification in their chosen field.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Must be 18 years or older
Demonstrate the required level of Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills
Completion of the general construction induction training program specified by the model Code of
Practice for Construction Work. Achievement of unit CPCCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the
construction industry meets this requirement
No formal pre-requisite required, however, it is beneficial for students to have relevant industry experience

OVERVIEW

This qualification provides a trade outcome in wall and ceiling lining for residential and commercial construction work. The qualification has core unit of competency requirements
that cover common skills for the construction industry, as well as the specialist field of work wall and ceiling liner. Wall and ceiling liners apply and fix linings for non-structural walls and
ceilings.

DELIVERY METHOD

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Assessment is accessible to candidates with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant industry experience. Conducted by a qualified industry expert Trainer and Assessor, the RPL Assessment process results in a personalised Training Plan outlining the units of competency for training and assessment.
